Our rocky mountain elk hunts are featured in the heart of Arizona. Hunters need to be prepared to endure all possible weather conditions. It is important that clients be in good physical hiking condition to endure the Arizona terrain and to gain that edge to connect with your trophy bull. We also offer cow elk hunts. Even though they have no antlers, the Rocky Mountain Cow Elk, are a blast to hunt! Some like to call them "Meat Hunts". A huge mature cow can weigh as much as 500 pounds. These cow hunts can be as challenging as any other hunt, but your odds are higher. The recommended rifle calibers for cow elk are the .270 win. & .300 win. magnum with a good variable power scope. Expect shots out 500 plus yards.
