Bill and Wille's goal was to provide quality equine recreational services into the Weminuche Wilderness and San Juan National Forest. And this they did. Willie passed the torch the Adkisson and Bauers in 2017, who continue the traditional the Swanda started. Having grown up in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, and on the back of a horse, both Jesse & Justin are right at home in the San Juans and leading their horses. Justin also has been guiding big game for over 17 years and knows what it takes for a successful hunt. You may recognize Justin from TV hunting shows, Primos, Antlter Insanity, and Team Elk. You will find Jesse in the field on most trips and also tending to the horses. Also having been raised in Pagosa, he has extensive knowledge of the San Juans. Jesse has been guiding for over 11 years with his main focus on sheep, elk and mountain lion hunts. We have a strong crew working along side of us. We have a low turnover, which is unusually for this industry. Much of the crew from the area, having the mountains and the cowboy spirit in their blood. Our wranglers know horses and will make you feel comfortable in any excursion you are on.
