Everyone has heard the horror stories about their cousin who spent all night gator hunting with nothing to show for it other than a newfound addiction to Red Bull and Coffee. We refuse to do that to our clients unless they are looking for an ‘All Night Experience’. We guarantee your success and most of our clients harvest their Gator(s) well within a 4 hour time frame. Capt. Kevin lives within 10 minutes of the hunting property making it easy for him to keep an eye on the gators knowing when and where these beasts are going to be when you get here. Guaranteed Success or No Pay!! We hunt different times of day depending on the type of adventure you are looking for, the particular body of water we are hunting, the weather, etc. Ultimately we can hunt any time of day to accommodate your needs. We always adjust to conditions to make the most of your time on the water and get you on your gator! Morning Alligator Hunts typically start around 9:00 am on our private water hunts and around 6:30 am on Public water hunts. The Length of the hunt depends on where we are hunting, the number and size gator(s) you are after. A rough average would be 3 to 4 hours for a gator hunt.
We can cater to your hunt to the experience you are looking for. **We transport your Gator(s) to the processor and taxidermist so you don’t have to. **Have your hunt filmed and take home a DVD for you to share with family and friends. A DVD of your hunt is available for $200 and well worth it! The time frame for our hunts is no different than a late dinner or an early morning fishing trip. If you have a specific time you want to be on or off the water we will gladly accommodate the timing of your trip to meet your needs. Capt. Trophy deer hunts in Northwest Florida. The property is located eight (8) miles north of Blountstown, Florida. Located just 35 miles west of Tallahassee in the Famous Florida panhandle. Access is easy from anywhere. We have four miles of beautiful river frontage on the Apalachicola River. We also maintain 20 food plots and 20 bait stations year-round. Bow hunters will enjoy success on our 4,000 acre archery only plantation that has been trophy managed for the last 19 years. Hunters can come by themselves or in a group. If you come by yourself we will pair you with one other hunter who came by themselves to pair you as a group. Your group will be assigned an exclusive portion of the property and your guide will then show you active trails and food sources within your exclusive portion of the property.
Your guide will recommend areas for you to hang your stands. Most hunters have shot opportunities the first day. Our hunts are semi-guided and are perfect for the veteran bow hunter or the beginner. We have a lot of first-time bow hunters harvest their first animal with Southern Arrowhead Outfitters. If you are tired of hunting public land with low or no success or tired of paying the high cost of being a hunt club member, come hunt with us. We do all the hard work for you, all you have to do is show up, hang your stands and start hunting a private, managed, archery only plantation where you will have high success. You provide your own stand(s), license and personal needs. The hunts are five days and you may harvest two bucks, one doe, and one hog. All hunts are 5 days in length you may hunt less days, but the price is the same. The only hunts we offer are the hunts listed. We do not offer out of season hog hunts, but if you want to hunt only hogs on one of the hunts listed, we can make arrangements for you to do so.
Lodging is available for an additional $200.00 for the 5 days or you may stay at a hotel close by. Hunters who choose to stay with us must provide their own food as we do not serve or offer food. Where in Florida: The property is located eight (8) miles North of Blountstown, Florida. Located just 35 miles west of Tallahassee in the great Florida Panhandle. This area is famous for having the largest deer in Florida and some of the largest deer in the Southeast. We are located only 30 minutes from Alabama and Georgia so we have the large deer and are able to hunt them legally over bait. Access is easy from anywhere. About the Property: We have four (4) miles of river frontage on the beautiful Apalachicola River. We have 20 food plots and 20 bait stations that we maintain year-round. Bow hunters will enjoy success on our ARCHERY ONLY 4,000 acre plantation that has been trophy managed for the last 16 years. Each hunter may harvest two bucks, one doe and one hog boar or sow. The bucks must have at least three points on one side or better to harvest. The property is teeming with deer and hogs. Lodging: Lodging is available on site for an additional $200.00 per person for all five days, or you may stay at a hotel close by. We have three full efficiencies houses on the property that offers the hunter on site lodging that is clean and comfortable. Hunters who choose to stay with us must provide their own food as we do not offer or serve food.

The single day alligator hunts are a little more laid back than the multi-night boat hunts. The alligator hunts in Florida are primarily done during the day in lakes or ponds. A crossbow, regular bow, gun, fishing pole, or baited hook is the primary method of harvesting gators on this type of hunt. If you are a first time alligator hunter a day hunt may be a good option. The thrill of seeing alligators in the light of day is something all first time hunters should experience. Day hunts are a little less intense as well. You will scan the Florida swamps by boat and when a gator is spotted we will attempt to snag it – that’s when the fight begins.
Once the gator is snagged you will have the opportunity to harvest it with your weapon of choice. Rifle hunts allow for longer shots, 25 to 30 yards, and archery, spear or other methods require getting a little closer. God's Country rifle gator hunts are only available on private land day hunts. This is a great option as rifles allow the hunter the opportunity for longer kill shots. Many hunters will choose to bring multiple weapons on the hunt, the way a hunt unfolds may dictate which weapon is used in the kill shot on the alligator.
When you contact us about planning your hunt we will answer questions and give advice to help you choose the best weapon options to make your Florida gator hunt exciting and successful! As with any hunt, an archery hunt is much more challenging for Florida alligators than some of the other weapon options. Bow hunters will need to be experienced to be successful with this hunt. Shot distances are usually pretty short with archery hunts but a clean shot is necessary whether it’s a night or day alligator hunt. A 60 lb. draw is sufficient and you will need a fishing rig attachment. We recommend practicing precise short shots prior to your hunt.

Snipe Hunting is just a practical joke, right? Well, not quite… at Fox Brown Outfitters Snipe Hunting actually exists. Snipe are small birds; brown, white, rust and black in color, with elongated beaks. The key to finding these birds is finding mud filled, wet, and dark soiled areas. Waterproof boots are essential for hunting snipe.
Snipe hunting is regulated by the state and availability is controlled based on current conditions. Snipe are allowed to be harvested in Florida from November 1st, to February 15th, with an eight bird bag-limit. But don’t be fooled, it will be hard to tag out, these little birds fly fast, and as soon as you think you’ve got a shot, they dive, dip, and bolt the opposite direction! This hunt is for the sportsman looking for a challenge! This hunt includes lunch and the cleaning and packaging of your snipe. Hunting the marshes and swamps of Lake Okeechobee for ducks is an experience in itself. Not only do we hunt on the famous Lake Okeechobee, we also hunt various public water lakes and rivers as well as private land. On our private waters, we hunt a mixture of swamps on private ranches and big reservoirs on dairies. We chase the ducks so each hunt could be in a different location.
On day one we might run the airboat in the shallow marshes of Lake Okeechobee. The next morning take the mud boat out into some open water to try ringers, then pack up and go to a private dairy to hunt in a reservoir to knock down some black bellies. No matter what type of hunt you are looking for we will accommodate. If you are looking to complete your ultimate waterfowl challenge, then we can help you with that. We shoot mottled ducks, black belly whistlers, and some fulvous when the time is right. On top of those species, we also shoot blue wing teal, green wing teal, and ringers.

Our day time wild hog hunts are conducted primarily early morning or late afternoons as these time periods have proven to provide the best opportunity for success. Clients can choose a half day or a full day hog hunt with a half day hunt consisting of either morning or afternoon and a full day hunt consisting of both morning and afternoon. We operate our day time hog hunts traditionally using only the latest top of the line tree stands, box stands, and ground blinds to ensure that we can accommodate any hunters needs.
Upon arrival; our professional guides will go over the rules of the ranch and have everyone in your party sign in before heading out for the hunt. All transportation is provided while on the ranch both to and from our hog hunting locations. Once you harvest a wild hog our guides will assist with blood trailing and the extraction of the wild hog and then head to the cleaning facility to perform the cleaning and quartering which is included in the hog hunt at no additional charge. Our hunts normally start out between 9-10 a.m unless otherwise scheduled to take place earlier/later. Upon arrival we will meet up with you and discuss what size gator you're after, and make sure each person participating in the hunt has obtained the proper licensing needed. After going over the details of the hunt and getting each participants waiver signed, we then head out to do a spot-and-stalk type hunt.
We will be hunting by foot and using 4x4 side by sides to hunt from. Once we have located the right size gator you‘re after we’ll use offshore style fishing rods to snag the gator with a treble hook, and hand the rod off the hunter to fight the gator up to the bank. From there on out it is up to you to collect your trophy by using a bangstick, handgun, bow, etc. to take the gator. Once the hunt is finished we will be sure to take plenty of pictures, bring the kills back to our processing facility, and discuss taxidermy options.
Gator hunts have a base price of $900 for a 6-7' gator, but then increase based on the size: $1,200 for 7-8', $1,500 for 8-9', $2,250 for 9-10', $3,570 for 10-11', $6,500 for 11-12', $10,000 for 12-12.5', $12,500 for 12.5-13', and $15,000 for 13'+. Non–hunter member add ons: If people in your party/group are not going to participate in the hunt, they do not need any license or permit. All spectators are welcome to come along on your Townsend & Sons hunt free of charge. However, if they are 16 years old or older and would like to help you hunt alligators, they will also need to purchase the $51.50 Alligator Farming Agent License. Youth, ages 15 and younger, do not need an Agent License to assist in Alligator hunting.
What to Wear: We recommend wearing a lightweight short or long sleeve shirt, close-toed shoes, and long pants. We leave it totally up to you to wear what you will feel you most comfortable in. It's not necessary to wear camouflage, but we typically wear neutral or earth toned colors (green, brown, black, etc.) If you are sensitive to the sun we recommend wearing a hat, as well as sunscreen. Bug spray is always a great idea as we never seem to have a shortage of bugs here in south Florida!

We’re very proud to say that we have a team of professional snake-hunting dogs to track and capture pythons in the Everglades. These snakes are hard to find and make their nests even harder to find. Our dog’s ability to track these reptiles by scent and locate nests has changed the game. Together we found more python nests than every other python hunter combined last season.
Unlike other python hunters, we're not taking y'all on a trip in the cab of a truck looking for snakes along roadsides and levies. We're loading up the dogs and taking the boat out to the middle of nowhere to the "Python Islands" to find snakes and their nests deep in the wilds of the Florida Everglades.
The python islands of the Everglades offer some of the hardest hunting available. The thick vegetation and brutal bugs are just the first things you'll need to think about. You've got to watch your back for alligators and watch your step for water moccasins. Hunting these islands is not for the faint of heart and that's where our team of professional python hunting guides comes in.

When you arrive be prepared to board a large swamp buggy, capable of tackling all of Florida’s marshes and thick terrain! The buggy’s tall platform deck will have you elevated to view vast areas surrounding you, and shooting towers will keep you secure and give you a rest whether you are stopped to shoot or running and gunning.
For closer encounters, after locating your hog, you will be on foot with your guide beside you. You will enter 2,600 acres, where while hunting for hogs you will get to also see all of the exotic and native game offered at Fox Brown Outfitters. Experienced dogs will be used to wind off of the buggy until they alert that they have picked up a scent. Your guide will release the dogs who will locate and bay the hog….. This is where your high paced adventure begins, so get ready!
At this point in the hunt you will have your choice as to how you’d like to take your hog. Possibilities include but are not limited to: shotgun, rifle, handgun, bow and arrow, spear, or knife. Our Florida whitetail deer hunts are conducted on approximately 9,800 acres of private land. All land is quality managed and has been since the early 1930's. Clients are encouraged to harvest mature whitetails; however, we do follow the state of Florida rules and regulations minimum requirement of 3 points on one side for antlered deer. At Black Tine Outfitters we don't have second jobs; we maintain feeders, food plots, and mineral sites on a yearly basis. We believe this provides a valuable food source and helps in keeping a stable and healthy herd. Combined with over 40 years of experience hunting and guiding throughout the state of Florida; rest assured that Black Tine Outfitters can put you where the deer are.
We offer several different hunting packages including whitetail deer and wild hog combo hunts, everything from 2 day hunts to 5 day hunts. We utilize ladder stands, shooting houses, and ground blinds to ensure your safety is first priority. All transportation to and from hunting locations is provided, including extraction, cleaning, and quartering of harvested game. You will also find that we do not believe in trophy fees. Over the years, we have had several clients harvest whitetails scoring in the mid 130 to low 140 class range with no additional trophy fees applied. The Seminole whitetail can be very challenging. It is often compared to hunting its sub-species, the coues deer, to the west. Terrain is thick and oftentimes marshy. Florida's unpredictable climate, combined with its extreme humidity, can make the practice of quality scent control almost impossible. The rut season for the Seminole whitetail can also be very unpredictable as our seasonal temperatures can vary dramatically day to day, causing the rut to inconsistently "turn on" and "turn off." Clients are encouraged to take their hunt serious and apply the basic fundamentals of whitetail hunting to their hunt with us as harvesting a mature Seminole whitetail can be difficult but is also a well-respected trophy. The average 4 1/2 year old buck harvested on our farms typically scores between 100"-115" and will weigh approximately 145-170 lbs depending on the time of year.

Our Florida whitetail deer hunts are conducted on approximately 9,800 acres of private land. All land is quality managed and has been since the early 1930's. Clients are encouraged to harvest mature whitetails; however, we do follow the state of Florida rules and regulations minimum requirement of 3 points on one side for antlered deer. At Black Tine Outfitters we don't have second jobs, we maintain feeders, food plots, and mineral sites on a yearly basis. We believe this provides a valuable food source and helps in keeping a stable and healthy herd. Combined with over 40 years of experience hunting and guiding throughout the state of Florida, rest assured that Black Tine Outfitters can put you where the deer are.
We offer several different hunting packages including whitetail deer and wild hog combo hunts. Everything from 2-day hunts to 5-day hunts. We utilize ladder stands, shooting houses, and ground blinds to ensure your safety is first priority. All transportation to and from hunting locations is provided, including extraction, cleaning, and quartering of harvested game. You will also find that we do not believe in trophy fees. Over the years we have had several clients harvest whitetails scoring in the mid 130 to low 140 class range with no additional trophy fees applied. The Seminole whitetail can be very challenging. It is often compared to hunting its sub-species the coues deer to the west. Terrain is thick and oftentimes marshy. Florida's unpredictable climate combined with its extreme humidity can make the practice of quality scent control almost impossible. The rut season for the Seminole whitetail can also be very unpredictable as our seasonal temperatures can vary dramatically day to day causing the rut to inconsistently "turn on" and "turn off." Clients are encouraged to take their hunt seriously and apply the basic fundamentals of whitetail hunting to their hunt with us as harvesting a mature Seminole whitetail can be difficult but is also a well-respected trophy. The average 4 1/2 year old buck harvested on our farms typically scores between 100"-115" and will weigh approximately 145-170 lbs depending on the time of year.

Hunting the marshes and swamps of Lake Okeechobee for ducks is an experience in itself. Not only do we hunt on the famous Lake Okeechobee, we also hunt various public water lakes and rivers as well as private land. On our private waters, we hunt a mixture of swamps on private ranches and big reservoirs on dairies. We chase the ducks so each hunt could be in a different location.
On day one we might run the airboat in the shallow marshes of Lake Okeechobee. The next morning take the mud boat out into some open water to try ringers, then pack up and go to a private dairy to hunt in a reservoir to knock down some black bellies. No matter what type of hunt you are looking for we will accommodate. If you are looking to complete your ultimate waterfowl challenge, then we can help you with that.
We shoot mottled ducks, black belly whistlers, and some fulvous when the time is right. On top of those species, we also shoot blue wing teal, green wing teal, and ringers.

We do not hunt behind fences or within enclosures, and we never use alligators caught in the wild and placed for hunters. Our hunts are all free-range, meaning we only target wild alligators on open lands. Additionally, we do not use drugs or refrigerants to make the alligators lethargic.
Our hunts employ advanced methods and equipment to ensure effectiveness and safety. Hunters can use compound bows, recurve bows, and crossbows for the initial shot, equipped with a fishing reel attachment and a retrieval line of at least 200-pound test, followed by a bang stick for the final harvest
